The Natural Resource Use Programme is divided into a variety of different courses, and after the first year you decide the direction of your studies yourself.
In addition to common courses and core subjects such as Swedish, English, Mathematics and Civics, you choose 15-20 further courses according to your own interests.
Approximately 25 % of your studies is placed at different working sites such as farms, stables and pet stores.
General education and wide experience
The three year Natural Resource Use Programme gives you not only a wide training within natural resource use but also a general education which meets with the qualification requirements for university studies.
School farm with forested and arable land
At Strömma we have our own school farm with both forested and arable land, and in the stables there are dairy cows, pigs, sheep, pets and horses. Recently we have built a pet stable, a green house and a large paddock. We produce our own electricity from a new wind-power station and a hydroelectric power station.
As a student you live and study in a very scenic manorial environment.
Our education facilities are modern, and the residential hostel accommodation with single and double rooms and shared living-rooms - equipped with a TV and a pentry - have been renovated recently.
Wide range of activities
In your spare time you can ride, play football, take a pleasant walk in the forest, borrow a boat and do some fishing, join our theatre group or use the computer room, library or gym. We have many organisations that you can join, and the wild nature is just around the corner!
